JOHANNESBURG – A survey by KnowBe4Africa reveals that 84-percent of people on the continent rely on social media for news.
It says Facebook is the most popular social media platform for news, used by 80-percent of respondents.

It’s followed by TikTok which is used by over 50-percent.
The reality is that there is a lot of fake news on social media, and 50-percent of the respondents say they have not received training on misinformation and disinformation.
